“You’ve never heard of the Millennium Falcon? …It’s the ship that made the Kessel run in less than twelve parsecs!”
–Han Solo, Star Wars: A New Hope

The bad news: due to manufacturing issues,  the second wave of expansions for the X-Wing miniatures won’t be available until February, 2013.

The GREAT news: Fortunately, Fantasy Flight Games was able  to airship a limited number of these new expansion packs to help us bring you a special preview event!

The Little Shop of Magic is proud to bring yet another exlcusive Star Wars gaming event to Las Vegas: FFG’s Kessel Run! Part of our ongoing Star Wars Game Experience, this very special X-Wing tournament will take place on December 16 and only a limited number of retailers, like yours truly, will have a chance to participate. This exclusive event will provide players their first opportunity to see some of their favorite new starships in action!

If you're like us, you're buzzing with anticipation for the second wave of X-Wing expansions, which include the legendary Millennium Falcon™, Boba Fett's Slave I™ as well as the ultimate dogfigthers of the original Star Wars trilogy, the A-wing™ and TIE interceptor™: this event will give you a chance to preview not one but ALL FOUR OF THEM!

How Does It Work?

The Little Shop of Magic will host a special X-Wing tournament on December 16. Players will need to bring 100-point squadrons and compete through a number of Swiss-style preliminary rounds (based on attendance) while following all the standard rules described in the X-Wing Tournament Rules document (pdf, 4.0 MB).

However, in the final round,  the tournament’s two top players will set aside their personal squads and assume control of the special preview squads:  one player will field two A-wings and the incomparable Millennium Falcon, while he other will field two TIE Interceptors and the versatile and deadly Slave I!

Then, each of the tournament’s top four participants get to TAKE HOME one of the preview expansions, months before their release date!

How Will Prizes be Awarded?

• 1st Place – First choice of one Kessel Run preview ship
• 2nd Place – Second choice of one Kessel Run preview ship
• 3rd Place – Third choice of one Kessel Run preview ship
• 4th Place – Fourth choice of one Kessel Run preview ship

How Can I Sign Up?

Pilots can sign up on site on the day of the event or you can skip the line by preregistering in person at the Little Shop of Magic, by phone at (702) 307-6127 or online at www.shopofmagic.com.
